The Humminbird PiranhaMAX 4 is an upgrade to the former PiranhaMAX 197 series echo sounder. Commonly used and quick to understand. From now on, even 20% larger echo sounder screen and even 70% higher screen resolution (pixels). The Humminbird PiranhaMax 4 is a conventional echo sounder that offers 2D sonar functions without any GPS systems. Supplied with dual frequency DualBeam 2D sonar supporting 200/455 kHz frequencies. The maximum scanning depth is 183 meters (600ft). It is one of the cheapest and most advanced options on the market for novice anglers. Technical specification :

LED lighting makes it easier and clearer to see the image both in bright sunlight and in darker times of the day. The water resistance class of the echo sounder is IPX7, resistant to rain, water splashes and short immersion in fresh water. The PiranhaMax 4 does not have Dual Beam Plus, only Dual Beam sonar, so you can only use one frequency at a time, the screen cannot be split and display two frequency images at a time. Scanning options are available at 48 km / h (30mph), but the best and brightest echo sounder is up to 9 km / h (6mph). PiranhaMAX 4 echo sounder also has 3 alarm functions:

• Fish Alarm - You can set an audible alarm when the echo sounder detects a fish, with options available (small, medium and large sizes or all together).
• Depth Alarm - You can set an alarm to sound when the desired depth is reached or the depth changes to another, lower one.
