The very lightweight head of the indicator can be significantly weighted down by sliding weight if needed. A reliable clip securely holds the line or braid regardless of their diameter and weight on the head of the indicator. However, it ensures the safe release of the indicator upon a strike. Upon release, the arm is captured in the lower position, preventing it from hitting the bankstick or any further involuntary swinging of the arm.
