The new Shimano Aldebaran MGL is an insanely lightweight low profile baitcasting reel. With a weight of only 135 it fits perfect on any BFS rod. Due to the 9 + 1 S-ARB ball bearings, all parts of the Aldebaran run very smoothly. Also the Aldebaran has a New MGL spool, which is even lighter than the previous version. This results in a very low start-up inertia, making it possible to cast even lighter lures at a proper distance.

Also there has been a new SVS infinity breaking system implemented into the Aldebaran MGL, which can be set very finely to prevent backlash when casting. Taking this all into account the Aldebaran MGL would be the optimal reel for Bait finesse fishing and vertical jigging for zander/perch, but with a drag of max 4,5kg also the fish like big pike can be handled.
